Free 8-bit music jingles you can rewrite note by note
This set has short chiptune melodies such as a jig, a waltz, a chase, a blues shuffle, a march and a lullaby. Each tune is built from square and triangle layers, and the editor lays the melody out note by note. A new Pitch on a layer changes the tune. Your AI agent composes a jingle with you for your own level, title screen or app.

Chiptune jingles for Unity, Godot and GameMaker games
Town Waltz fits a village shop, Rooftop Chase fits the end of a chase scene, and Moon Lullaby fits a save point. The tunes are royalty-free and free for commercial use with credit, also in a game you sell.
8-bit music stings for TikTok and YouTube
Bouncing Ball fits a slow-motion fail. Sneaky Shuffle backs a sneaky moment, and Robot Boogie backs a dance clip. Every tune is made from scratch with a synth, with no samples from a real game.
A cute chiptune tone for iPhone and Android
Hopscotch works as a cheerful message tone on an iPhone or an Android phone. Toy Soldiers works as a short ringtone. Change a few notes to make a tone nobody else has.
Retro alerts for Discord and Twitch
Crystal Cascade makes a Discord soundboard clip. Sky Gallop plays as a Twitch follower alert in Streamlabs or OBS.
Writing an 8-bit tune
How is an 8-bit tune laid out?
Most tunes here split the parts the way old consoles did. Square waves play the melody and the chords. A triangle wave plays the bass. Noise layers play the drums. Start after places each note in time.
How does Bouncing Ball slow to a stop?
Bouncing Ball has eight square notes that fall from 1,865 Hz to 622 Hz. The gap between notes shrinks from 0.3 to 0.04 seconds, and each note is shorter than the one before. Slide set to 3 gives every bounce a small lift.
What makes Sneaky Shuffle swing?
Sneaky Shuffle plays its notes in long and short pairs. A long note waits 0.18 seconds for the next note, and a short note waits 0.09 seconds. Even Start after steps turn the shuffle into a straight march.
Make your own sounds
- Stack layers of tone or noise and shape each one with its own sliders.
- Change pitch, length, echo and tone while the sound loops, so you hear every move.
- Save to your library, share a link, and download the sound when it sounds right.
