Shaping a sci-fi sound

How is the laser made?

Blaster Bolt is a sawtooth note at 3,000 Hz with Slide at minus 24, so it drops two octaves as it plays. A short burst of noise adds the snap. Echo gives the shot distance, and a higher effect Amount makes the echo longer.

How is the scanner made?

Scanner Sweep is seven triangle notes that step up from 600 Hz to 2,400 Hz. Each note starts 0.08 seconds after the last. Change those Start after values, and the scan runs faster or slower.
