By using Notify Sound at notifysound.com ("the Site"), including the sound editor, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms").
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.
1. Operator
The Site is operated by Notify Sound. You can find our contact details in the privacy policy.
2. Using the editor
The editor is free to use in your browser. You do not need an account.
Some features may be marked Pro. Pro features may come with extra terms, which we will show you before you get them.
We may change, add or remove features, sounds and collections at any time.
3. Sound license
Every sound on the Site is made from scratch with a synthesizer in your browser. There is no recording from anyone else inside.
The sounds on the Site, and the versions you make from them in the editor, are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0).
You may copy, share, change and use them for any purpose, including commercial projects such as apps, games, videos, streams and phone notifications.
In return you must give credit: name Notify Sound, link to https://notifysound.com, link to the license, and say if you changed the sound. A line such as "Sound by Notify Sound (notifysound.com), CC BY 4.0" in your credits or description is enough.

4. Site content and intellectual property
All other content on the Site, including text, design, graphics and code, belongs to Notify Sound and is protected by copyright law.
You may share links to the Site and short quotes from it, as long as you give clear credit and link back to the Site.
Using the text, design, graphics and code of the Site to train machine learning or artificial intelligence models, including large language models, is not allowed without written permission from Notify Sound.
5. Your saved sounds
Sounds you save in the editor are stored only in your browser. We do not keep a copy.
If you clear your browser data, switch browsers or lose your device, your saved sounds are gone and we cannot restore them. Download a copy of any sound you want to hold on to.
6. Acceptable use
Use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others. You agree not to:
- Scrape or collect the Site's content or sounds in bulk without permission
- Try to gain unauthorized access to the Site's servers or infrastructure
- Introduce malicious code, disrupt the Site or run denial-of-service attacks
- Use share links to spread spam, unsolicited messages or illegal content
- Break any applicable local, national or international law
7. Third-party links
The Site may link to other websites. We do not endorse or control them and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices or availability. Visiting them is at your own risk.
8. No warranty
The Site, the editor and the sounds are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
We make no promise that:
- The Site will be available without interruption, secure or free of errors
- Sounds will play or download the same way in every browser and on every device
- Information on the Site is complete, accurate or current
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Notify Sound is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site, the editor or the sounds, even if told such damages were possible.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Site is also governed by our privacy policy, which is part of these Terms. It explains how we handle personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
11. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when they are posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date at the top shows when that was. If you keep using the Site after a change, you accept the new Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.
Users in the European Union keep all rights they have under EU consumer protection and data protection law. These Terms do not limit them.
