Free glitch sound effects you can break further
The collection covers corrupted data, dropped signals, stutters, screen tears and machines losing power. A glitch is a clean tone that the editor chops, crushes or bends until it falls apart. A glitch built in the editor fits the frames of your motion graphics video. Your AI agent can break a sound in your own way with you.

Sounds from an AI assistant
Notify Sound works as an MCP server for AI assistants. The assistant designs every layer of a sound and returns a link. The link opens that sound in the editor.

Example prompt after installation
The assistant takes a plain request like this one, once Notify Sound is connected.
Use Notify Sound to make a short digital glitch for a logo reveal in my video, crunchy and choppy. Send me the link.
Glitch transitions for motion graphics and logo reveals
Screen Tear and Data Corrupt fit glitch text, a shaking logo or a cut between two shots in a YouTube or TikTok video. Both are made from scratch with a synth, with no samples inside.
Hacking and malfunction sounds for games
Error Glitch marks a locked terminal and Bit Crush Hit marks a robot taking damage in a Unity or Godot game. Every glitch here is royalty-free and free for commercial use with credit.
A glitchy message tone on iPhone and Android
Hologram Flicker and Signal Lost make an odd, techy iPhone text tone or Android notification sound. On Android, Discord can get one of them as its own alert.
Raid and host alerts for Twitch streams
Modem Squeal and Stutter work as an alert sound in Streamlabs or OBS. Both cut through a game soundtrack without a melody of their own.
Shaping a glitch
Which slider makes a sound glitchy?
Flutter at full depth switches a layer on and off. Signal Lost chops a 1,000 Hz tone at a Flutter speed of 13 Hz, and Screen Tear chops its falling whine at 41 Hz. The Crunch effect adds the rough 8-bit edge of Data Corrupt and Bit Crush Hit.
How is the tape stop built?
Tape Stop is three sawtooth notes at 330, 415 and 494 Hz, each with a Slide of -24 semitones over a Note length of 0.7 seconds. The chord sinks two octaves as if the motor lost power. A longer Note length gives a slower stop.
Why does Electric Zap crackle?
Electric Zap has two noise layers with a Wobble of 1 at 50 and 37 Hz. The noise band jumps 4 semitones each way dozens of times a second, which the ear hears as sparks. A lower Wobble speed turns the crackle into a buzz.
Make your own sounds
- Stack layers of tone or noise and shape each one with its own sliders.
- Change pitch, length, echo and tone while the sound loops, so you hear every move.
- Save to your library, share a link, and download the sound when it sounds right.
