A plain beep cuts through noise, so it makes a good alarm or timer sound on an iPhone or an Android phone. Alarm Beep sounds like a digital watch. Low Battery and Text Beep sound like old mobile phones.

Beeps for buttons, scanners and timers in your app

Key Beep marks a key press. Console Accept confirms a scanned code. Probe Ping ends a countdown. These UI sounds fit a web app, a kiosk or an iOS or Android app. They are royalty-free and free for commercial use with credit.

Shaping a beep

What pitch is a beep?

Beep is a square wave at 880 Hz that lasts 0.15 seconds. Set Pitch to 2,000 Hz or higher for a watch or a smoke alarm. Set it near 400 Hz for a big machine.

How do I make a beep less harsh?

Change Wave shape from square to triangle or sine. If the beep still clicks at the start, raise Attack by a few milliseconds.

How do I make a beep repeat?

Raise Times, and set Gap to the silence between beeps. Reverse Beep is one beep with Times set to four. Short gaps sound urgent, and long gaps sound calm.
