Notify Sound
Shape custom notification sounds with AI

Free click sound effects you can shape with AI

The collection covers mouse clicks, keyboard switches, menu ticks and taps on wood. Each click is a few bursts of filtered noise, only milliseconds long. A small move of one slider turns plastic into wood, or a laptop key into a heavy switch. Your AI agent shapes the texture of a click with you.

Sounds from an AI assistant

Notify Sound works as an MCP server for AI assistants. The assistant designs every layer of a sound and returns a link. The link opens that sound in the editor.

Example prompt after installation

The assistant takes a plain request like this one, once Notify Sound is connected.

Use Notify Sound to make a soft wooden click for the toggle switches in my app, quiet and very short. Send me the link.

Click sounds for buttons in web, iOS and Android apps

Menu Select, Click and Hit Blip are UI sounds for buttons, toggles, tabs and menus. They are short enough to play on every tap. All three are royalty-free and free for commercial use with credit.

Keyboard sounds for TikTok and YouTube videos

Clicky Key, Linear Key and Thock are the three switch sounds of keyboard and ASMR videos. They are built with a synth, so they hold no recording that needs clearing.

Menu and interface clicks for games

A game menu uses a click to move, a click to pick and sometimes a tap on wood. Three versions of one click give a Unity or Godot game a matching set.

A quiet click as your iPhone or Android notification

Wood Block and Linear Key make quiet notification sounds on an iPhone or an Android phone. Their soft tick fits the middle of a meeting.

Shaping a click

How is a mouse click built?

Click is three noise layers: a bright snap at 3,200 Hz, a lower body at 1,200 Hz, and a second snap 0.09 seconds later for the release. The Start after of that second snap sets how long the button feels held.

What is the difference between the clicky, linear and thock keys?

Clicky Key has a sharp noise snap at 4,000 Hz over a small 320 Hz thump. Linear Key has no snap and is pitched lower, at 700 Hz and 190 Hz. Thock is the lowest, at 380 Hz and 150 Hz, like a heavy keycap.

How do I make a click for a button in my app?

Start from Menu Select or Click. Keep the effect on None, because room sound makes a button feel slow. Turn Level down, since a click that plays hundreds of times a day should stay quiet.

Make your own sounds

  • Stack layers of tone or noise and shape each one with its own sliders.
  • Change pitch, length, echo and tone while the sound loops, so you hear every move.
  • Save to your library, share a link, and download the sound when it sounds right.
